DLF to develop 450-acre integrated township at Gurgaon

DLF, the country's largest realty firm is likely to develop a 450-acre integrated township - DLF Garden City - at Gurgaon within 2-3 years. It is going to earmark an investment of Rs 8,000 crore for the township.  DLF Garden City township will be spread over sectors 86, 87, 90, 91 and 92 (new Gurgaon), and will comprise of group housing, commercial and plotted development.

The project will offer plots of different sizes ranging from 250 to 502 sq yards. It has proposed educational, cultural, religious, healthcare institutions as it has already been demarcated for five hospital sites and three colleges in the area. The Garden City will have plotted development projects, namely The Primus, Regal Gardens and New Town Heights, besides housing a commercial complex -- Galleria 91.

The company’s net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 has zoomed 73.65% at Rs 355.70 crore as compared to Rs 204.84 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company’s total income has decreased by 13.90% at Rs 753.54 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011 compared to Rs 875.17 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
