Motherson Sumi Systems reports 12% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

Motherson Sumi Systems has reported results for fourth quarter and year ended March 31, 2015.

The company has posted a fall of 31.22% in its net profit at Rs 146.14 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 212.49 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has decreased by 1.74% at Rs 1284.61 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1307.36 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014.

On consolidated basis, the company has posted a rise of 12.42% in its net profit at Rs 340.1  crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 302.53 crore for the corresponding quarter in the FY14. Total income of the company has rose 12.69% at Rs 9477.73 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 8410.41 crore for the same quarter ended previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2015, the company has posted a fall of 3.78% in its net profit at Rs 514.88 crore as compared to Rs 535.13 crore for the same period in the previous year. However, total income of company increased 9.36% at Rs 5066.37 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 4632.83 crore for the period ended March 31, 2014.

For the year ended March 31, 2015, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted a rise of 12.75% in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates at Rs 862.47 crore as compared to Rs 764.97 crore for the same period in the previous year. Total income of company has increased by 14.02% at Rs 35049.54 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 30738.63 crore for the period ended March 31, 2014.
