Syndicate Bank has opened 303 branches during the year and reached a milestone of 3,552 branches as on March 31, 2015 (including a branch in London) comprising of 1,150 rural, 936 semi urban, 783 urban and 682 metro branches. The bank has presence in all the states and union territories of the country.
The bank has posted a rise of 1.86% in its net profit at Rs 416.92 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 409.3 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has increased by 23.18% at Rs 6599.13 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 5357.4 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014.
For the year ended March 31, 2015, the bank has posted a fall of 11.02% in its net profit at Rs 1522.93 crore as compared to Rs 1711.46 crore for the same period in the previous year. However, total income of the bank has increased by 18.95% at Rs 23724.75 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 19945.21 crore for the period ended March 31, 2014.
