Apollo Tyres gains as Q4 consolidated net profit grows by 9%

Apollo Tyres is currently trading at Rs. 170.60, up by 1.00 points or 0.59% from its previous closing of Rs. 169.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 169.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 173.40 and Rs. 167.15 respectively. So far 2,68,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 249.45 on 03-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 154.70 on 27-Mar-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 174.25 and Rs. 162.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8,683.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 44.06% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.62% and 14.32% respectively.

The Company’s net profit grew by 40.73% at Rs 182.42 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 129.62 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 0.88% to Rs 2245.49 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 from Rs 2225.71 crore for March quarter of the previous year.

On consolidated basis, the group’s net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates rose by 9.18% at Rs 307.48 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 281.62 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014. However, Its total income has declined by 4.19% to Rs 3111.73 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 from Rs 3247.88 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014.

For the Year ended March 31, 2015, the company’s net profit stood at Rs 645.08 crore as compared to Rs 442.61 crore for the previous year, up by 45.74%. Its total Income has increased by 2.10% to Rs 8975.36 crore for the year under review from Rs 8790.95 crore for the year ended March 31, 2014.

The Group’s net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates stood at Rs 977.60 crore for the year ended March 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 1005.05 crore for the previous year, down by 2.73%. Meanwhile, group’s total Income declined by 4.96% to Rs 12839.05 crore for the year ended March 31, 2015 from Rs 13509.82 crore for the previous year.
