GAIL (India) gains on inking MoU with Dhamra LNG Terminal

Gail India is currently trading at Rs. 380.50, up by 2.45 points or 0.65% from its previous closing of Rs. 378.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 378.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 381.75 and Rs. 373.30 respectively. So far 13,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 551.35 on 31-Oct-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 354.00 on 28-Apr-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 382.20 and Rs. 363.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 48,265.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.11% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.22% and 2.26% respectively.

GAIL (India) and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), two Maharatna Public Sector Companies of India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dhamra LNG Terminal (DLTPL), a company owned by Adani Enterprises. DLTPL’s project shall be an onshore LNG re-gasification terminal having initial capacity of 5.0 MTPA, at Dhamra Port in Bhadrak district of Odisha. Dhamra is an all-weather deep water port.

As per the terms of MoU, IOC and GAIL would reserve re-gasification capacity in the terminal to supply re-gasified LNG in the emerging gas markets in the eastern part of the country. IOC and GAIL would also have the option to hold equity in DLTPL at a later date.
