Lloyd Electric eyes 11% share of India’s air-conditioner market

Lloyd Electric & Engineering is planning to capture an 11% share of India’s air-conditioner market by selling around four lakh units this summer. The company will spend Rs 55 crore during the year for advertising of its durables as compared to Rs 35 crore it did last fiscal year.

The company is also planning to expand its presence across other categories such as washing machines and refrigerators. Lloyd has an installed capacity to manufacture around six lakh units of air-conditioners, which include its own brand and others. The company is planning to set up another unit near Chennai, which will be ready by December and will have capacity to roll out two lakh units every year.

Lloyd Electric & Engineering is in the business of manufacturing heat exchanger coils for air-conditioning and refrigeration application, ‘U’ bend and return bend for heat exchanger coils, system tubing and header line for air conditioner equipment and sheet metal items for air conditioner systems made from CNC presses and are leaders in India.
