Dena Bank’s employees likely to take part in all India strike on July 07, 2011

Dena Bank’s employees are likely to take part in the all India strike call given by the United Forum of Bank Unions on July 07, 2011. The association has served a notice of strike dated June 08, 2011 informing the bank of their decision to go on a nation-wide strike stating that all the workmen employees and officers' staff in the public sector banks observe a strike on July 07, 2011 for their various demands.

If the strike materializes, a section of the bank's employees may take part in the proposed strike on the said dates, in which case, the normal functioning of the branches/offices of the bank may get affected. On the contrary, the bank is taking all the necessary steps in terms of the existing guidelines for smooth functioning of bank’s branches/offices to deal with the strike.

The United Forum of Bank Unions, which is joint forum of 5 workmen unions (viz., AIBEA, NCBE, BEFI, INBEF and NOBW) and 4 officers’ associations (viz. AIBOC, AIBOA, INBOC and NOBO).
