SBI gains on entering into MoU with PayPal

State Bank of India (SBI) is currently trading at Rs. 297.20, up by 7.85 points or 2.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 289.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 292.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 298.40 and Rs. 292.35 respectively. So far 665310 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Re. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 335.90 on 28-Jan-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 234.52 on 08-Oct-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 298.40 and Rs. 282.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 225548.66 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.60% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.45% and 8.81% respectively.

State Bank of India (SBI), country’s largest public sector lender, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with digital payments company PayPal for facilitating cross-border transactions. The partnership will allow SBI's Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) customers to use PayPal's secure payment solutions. 

SBI has registered a rise of 30.24% in its net profit at Rs 2910.06 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2014 as compared to Rs 2234.34 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank has increased 12.07% at Rs 43783.91 crore for Q3FY15 as compared Rs 39067.91 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
