Balrampur Chini Mills surges as Akash Bhanshali acquires 1.43% stake

Balrampur Chini Mills is currently trading at Rs. 45.10, up by 0.75 points or 1.69% from its previous closing of Rs. 44.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 44.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 45.40 and Rs. 44.40 respectively. So far 43214 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 88.00 on 24-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 41.50 on 08-May-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 46.50 and Rs. 42.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1105.80 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.83% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.80% and 25.37% respectively.

Akash Bhanshali has acquired 1.43% stake in Balrampur Chini Mills. With this acquisition, Akash Bhanshali’s stake in the company increased to 6.29% from 4.86%.

Recently, JP Morgan Indian Investment Company (Mauritius) sold 41.17 lakh shares of the company through the open market route. The shares were sold on an average price of Rs 43.50 valuing the transaction to Rs 17.91 crore.

Balrampur Chini is one of the largest integrated sugar manufacturers in India. Its business portfolio consists of manufacturing and marketing of sugar, ethyl alcohol, ethanol, generation and selling of power and also manufacturing and marketing of organic manure.
