Burnpur Cement surges on commencing trial production from New Grinding Unit in Jharkhand

Burnpur Cement is currently trading at Rs. 7.99, up by 0.10 points or 1.27% from its previous closing of Rs. 7.89 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 7.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 7.99 and Rs. 7.80 respectively. So far 2750 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 16.10 on 11-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 6.70 on 07-May-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 8.25 and Rs. 7.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 65.22 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 29.15% while Institutions and held 70.85% stake in the company.

Burnpur Cement has commenced the trial production from its New Grinding Unit at Patratu in state of Jharkhand on May 23, 2015 and full-fledged production from the said grinding unit will start from June, 2015.

Further, the company has clarified that only grinding unit is ready to start the production whose trial production tested on May 23, 2015 and the production from its clinker unit will take some more time as it is under construction.

Burnpur Cement is engaged in manufacturing of cement. The company started its business activity by manufacturing Portland Slag Cement (PSC) at plant located at Asansol.
