Chembond Chemicals rises on plan to divest stake in Henkel Chembond

Chembond Chemicals is currently trading at Rs. 396.00, up by 4.30 points or 1.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 391.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 395.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 401.50 and Rs. 395.00 respectively. So far 4,369 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B ' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 430.00 on 22-May-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 150.00 on 26-May-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 430.00 and Rs. 382.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 264.38 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.76%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.36% and 30.89% respectively.

Chembond Chemicals, Mumbai has signed an agreement with Henkef Adhesives Technologies India, a subsidiary of Henkel AG & Company KGaA, headquartered in Dusseldorf, Germany, to divest its 49% shareholding in Henkel Chembond Surface Technologies.

This divestment brings to an end a successful partnership between two highly reputed companies that came together to introduce newer technologies and grow along with the emerging industries in India.

Chembond Chemicals is engaged in specialty chemicals business and offers a range of products for industrial applications. The company offers products for applications in the areas of construction chemicals, industrial coatings and chemical trading.
