SSWL reports 3% growth in total wheel rim sales in May

Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL) has reported 3% growth in its total wheel rim sales to 10.20 lakh as compared to 9.88 lakh in May 2014. In terms of Value, the company has achieved gross turnover of Rs 108.81 crore in May 2015 as compared to Rs 104.53 crore in May 2014, recorded a growth of 4% and achieved a Net turnover of Rs 97.19 crore in May 2015 as against Rs 94.37 crore in May 2014, recorded a growth of 3%. 

In segmental growth, the company’s Passenger car segment grew by 15% in May 2015 year on year (YoY), while the company’s LCV & MHCV segment volumes grew by 21% YoY in May 2015. However, the company’s domestic Tractor segment volumes dropped by 2% in May 2015 YoY.

SSWL is a part of the Steel Strips Group, headquartered in Chandigarh. It is engaged in the manufacturing of single piece steel wheel rims in the range of 10 to 30 inches for scooters, passenger cars, utility vehicles and tractors. It supplies rims to almost all major manufacturers of two wheelers, three wheelers, four wheelers, tractors and heavy commercial vehicle.
