Omkar Speciality rises on filing Patent application for precursor of latest Hepatitis C Drug

Omkar Speciality Chemicals is currently trading at Rs. 158.80, up by 2.50 points or 1.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 156.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 168.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 187.00 and Rs. 158.00 respectively. So far 79,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B ' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 187.00 on 04-Jun-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 114.50 on 13-Jun-2014.

Omkar Speciality Chemicals has filed one more application for the grant of Patent for preparing 4-Bromo-Ortho-Phenylene-Diamine, a key precursor for making of the drug namely Ledipasvir. Ledipasvir is a drug for the treatment of Hepatitis C.

Omkar Speciality Chemicals (including its wholly owned subsidiaries) has 9 Units in the State of Maharashtra, India (5 Units in Badlapur, Dist: Thane, 3 Units in Chiplun, Dist: Ratnagiri and 1 Unit in Mahad, Dist: Raigad) with a total volumetric installed capacity of 4920 MTPA.
