Prag Bosimi Synthetics’ restarts production at Guwahati plant

Prag Bosimi Synthetics has restarted production from its plant located at Guwahati in Assam with effect from February 17, 2012. The plant was shut down for a period of 6 years. The company expects that the production will be stabilized in next few days. The company also expects that the capacity utilization will increase gradually in due course of time.

The company has restarted the plant as it has made settlement with the Financial Institutions, Banks and Insurance Companies through Corporate Debt Restructuring (CDR) Scheme under one time settlement as approved by CDR. Further, the company has also complied with all the terms and conditions relating to the settlement of the CDR Scheme.

Prag Bosimi Synthetics is a 100% export oriented textile division with facilities for texturising, twisting and dyeing of polyester filament yarn (PFY). The company is engaged in the manufacture of PFY and partially oriented yarn (POY), which find numerous applications as apparel fabric, knitted fabric, stretch woven fabric, tyrecord, etc.
