Yes Bank inaugurates new branch at Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala

Yes Bank, the country's fourth largest private sector bank, has inaugurated its flagship state-of-the-art branch at Thiruvanathapuram in Kerala on February 16, 2012. Presently, the bank has 331 branches in country at 200 locations and is currently planning a set-up in Kochi shortly with an aim to strengthen its presence in Kerala.

The high-tech branch in Thiruvananthapuram showcases cutting edge banking technologies and hopes to transform its branches from being mere transaction outlets to Service Oriented Advisory Centres, thus shifting the focus from providing plain vanilla transactions to high-end value added services.

The bank has posted a 32.95% increase in its net profit of Rs.254.09 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs.191.12 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 47.19% to Rs.1,895.49 crore for quarter under review from Rs.1,287.82 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.

The bank’s gross NPA for the December quarter of the current fiscal stood at 0.20%, while the same was at 0.23% for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Meanwhile, bank’s Net NPA stood at 0.04% as compared to 0.06% in the same quarter of the previous year.
