Neyveli Lignite Corporation’s (NLC) NTPL’s Unit I has successfully completed 72 hours of continuous operation June 06, 2015. The Unit will now be put into Commercial Operation.
NLC Tamil Nadu Power (NTPL), a Joint Venture Company of NLC (89%) and TANGEDCO (11%), is establishing a 1000 MW (2 Units of 500 MW) Coal based Thermal Power Plant at Tuticorin. The pre-commissioning activities in Unit II of this Plant are nearing completion and this Unit will also be ready for commercial operation during this month.
Neyveli Lignite Corporation is engaged in the business of lignite mining and power generation. At present, the company has four opencast lignite mines.
