United Bank of India (UBI) has introduced an online Saving Bank (SB) account opening facility. This new facility will help prospective customers, who find it difficult to visit the bank’s branches. Such prospective customers can open a Savings Account by visiting the bank’s website (through a PC, tablet or smart-phone). This new facility also has the feature of uploading a photograph and KYC (know your client) documents for quick processing.
United Bank of India is one of the 14 major banks which were nationalized on July 19, 1969. After nationalization, the Bank expanded its branch network in a big way and actively participated in the developmental activities, particularly in the rural and semi-urban areas in conformity with the objectives of nationalization.
