Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has incorporated a Joint Venture (JV) on June 12, 2015 under the name and style of ‘Kholongchhu Hydro Energy’ to implement the 600 MW Kholongchhu Hydro Electric Project in Bhutan.
SJVN is a joint venture between the Central government and Himachal Pradesh state government. The company owns and operates India’s largest 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh.
