Tata Power’s JV inks MoU with PEC University of Technology

Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDL), a joint venture (JV) of Tata Power and the Government of Delhi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh for knowledge sharing and technical exchange in the area of technology and smart grid.  The two institutions of repute will also jointly work for co-development of products and solutions for the electricity distribution market, through joint workshops, hackathon, seminars, short term courses and events.

According to the MoU, which is part of TPDDL’s industry - academia collaboration programme, TPDDL will mentor and train both students and faculty of PEC. The senior officials of TPDDL will provide guest lectures at PEC and will involve students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programme at PEC in various research and development initiatives. Besides, TPDDL will also provide internship opportunity to students and may recruit meritorious students of the institute.

The Company has an installed generation capacity of 8747 MW in India and a presence in all the segments of the power sector viz Generation (thermal, hydro, solar and wind), Transmission, Distribution and Trading.
