Tata Motors’ arm JLR opens parts distribution centre in India

Tata Motors’ British-based arm Jaguar and Land Rover (JLR) has opened a new parts distribution Centre (PDC) at Bhiwandi near Mumbai. This state-of-the-art facility, spread over 70,000 square feet, will have regionally-optimised inventory supporting both Jaguar and Land Rover brands, controlled by Jaguar Land Rover's central Inventory Management team. This new facility will improve the regional supply chain velocity by allowing greater readiness and responsiveness to local requirements and in turn enhancing the overall customer experience.

Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company, is the leader in commercial vehicles in each segment, and among the top in passenger vehicles with winning products in the compact, midsize car and utility vehicle segments. It is also the world's fourth largest truck and bus manufacturer.
