GAIL (India), the country’s premier natural gas company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) to voluntarily provide civic services such as sweeping, cleaning and upkeep in Bhikaiji Cama Place where the GAIL Corporate Office is located. As per the MoU, GAIL will be responsible for the civic services in about 14,000 sq m in Bhikaiji Cama Place in south Delhi, including sweeping, cleaning, upkeep of footpaths, lanes and streets in the area. It would also deploy Safai Karmacharis for sweeping work and place bins for collection and transport of garbage, silt, etc. to nearby designated dhalao by SDMC.
