Vanguard Group Inc A/C Vanguard Emerg has picked 0.58% stake in Eicher Motors for Rs 309 crore. It has bought 0.16 million shares at a price of Rs 19676.89 a share on the National Stock Echange (NSE).

Earlier, Eicher Polaris, a 50:50 joint venture between Eicher Motors and Polaris Industries Inc., announced the launch of Multix, India's First Personal Utility Vehicle, thereby creating a new category in the automotive segment.

Eicher Motors is one of the leading manufacturers of commercial vehicle. It has manufacturing facilities located in Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Haryana.
