Budget carrier SpiceJet has taken delivery of its first wet leased Airbus A319 plane, bringing in the third kind of plane into its fleet. The carrier has leased it from CSA Czech Airline and will lease one more soon. The lease period is 90 days. SpiceJet currently has 20 operational Boeing 737 planes and 14 Bombardier Q400s in its fleet and wants it to expand to 50 planes by March.
SpiceJet is India’s most preferred airline who delivers the lowest air fares with the highest consumer value. The airline currently operates flights to over 44 Indian cities and 9 international destinations.
