Tyre maker Ceat is planning to begin a plant in Bangladesh and has started the field survey and selection of land for the same. The Bangladesh plant would make cross-ply tyres for trucks, light and small commercial vehicles and two-wheelers for the local market.
Last week, the company announced that it planned to invest 416 crore taka (Rs 250 crore) to set up a plant in Bangladesh.
Ceat makes different types of tyres for vehicles, including big trucks, counter balance trucks, warehouse trucks, personal cars, motorcycles, and three-wheelers.
