SBI and BoM launches co-branded credit card

State Bank of India (SBI), largest lender of the country, along with public sector lender Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) have tied up to launch a new co branded credit card for its customers.

The SBI-BoM credit cards will be available in two variants that are platinum and gold for the Bank of Maharashtra customers. The platinum card entail an annual fee of Rs 2,999 offers 10 cash points for every Rs 100 spent on dining, departmental stores and international spends that amount to 2.5% value back. It also gifts the new customer a basic fare voucher for a Kingfisher Airline return ticket on any sector in India and fuel surcharge waiver across all petrol pumps.

The annual fee on the gold card is set at Rs 499 and one cash point for every Rs 100 worth card spend.

Recently, SBI was set to commence operations in Saudi Arabia in the next four to six weeks as the bank plans to launch its branch in Jeddah post the completion of few regulatory requirements. The bank has reportedly completed all other procedural requirements while its necessary infrastructure is also in place.
