Eicher Motors surges as its motorcycle division reports 48% jump in total sales

Eicher Motors is currently trading at Rs 20259.15, up by 681.00 points or 3.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 19578.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 19750.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 20325.00 and Rs 19692.30 respectively. So far 11519 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 20020.00 on 19-Jun-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs 7891.05 on 01-Jul-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 19675.00 and Rs. 19031.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 55099.04 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.98%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.14% and 16.88% respectively.

Eicher Motors’ motorcycle division Royal Enfield has reported a 48% jump in total sales in June at 37,341 units, as against 25,303 units in the same month last year. During June 2015, the number of motorcycle units exported declined by 5% to 744 units as against 784 units in June 2014.

The company’s sales of vehicles with engine capacity up to 350cc increased 50% at 33,048 units against 22,073 units in the same period a year ago, while the sales of its vehicles with engine capacity exceeding 350cc increased by 33% at 4,293 units as against 3,230 units in June last year.
