Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL) has reported 10% growth in its total wheel rim sales to 10.28 lakh as compared to 9.30 lakh in June 2014. In terms of Value, the company has achieved gross turnover of Rs 114.37 crore in June 2015 as compared to Rs 99.52 crore in June 2014, recorded a growth of 14.9% and achieved a Net turnover of Rs 102.88 crore in June 2015 as against Rs 89.94crore in June 2014, recorded a growth of 14.3%.
In segmental growth, the company’s Passenger car segment grew by 23% in June 2015 year on year (YoY), while the company’s LCV & MHCV segment volumes grew by 64% YoY in June 2015. However, the company’s domestic Tractor segment volumes dropped by 10% in June 2015 YoY.
SSWL is a part of the Steel Strips Group, headquartered in Chandigarh. It is engaged in the manufacturing of single piece steel wheel rims in the range of 10 to 30 inches for scooters, passenger cars, utility vehicles and tractors. It supplies rims to almost all major manufacturers of two wheelers, three wheelers, four wheelers, tractors and heavy commercial vehicle.
