Promoters and foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have reduced shareholding in Kotak Mahindra Bank in Q1FY16. Promoters have reduced shareholding by 616 basis points to 33.86 percent at the end of June 2015 from 40.02 percent as on March 31, 2015. At the same time, FIIs shareholding decreased by 153 basis points to 35.32 percent at the end of June 2015 from 36.85 percent as on March 31, 2015. On the other hand, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have increased their stake in the company by 183 basis points to 3.69 percent at the end of June 2015 from 1.86 percent as on March 31, 2015.
Non institutions were holding 27.08 percent stake at the end of June 2015, up 594 basis points from 21.14 percent as on March 31, 2015 while, corporate bodies were holding 3.56 percent stake at the end of June 2015, up 26 basis points from 3.3 percent as on March 31, 2015.
