Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDL), a joint venture (JV) of Tata Power and the Government of Delhi, has launched a special rebate scheme on air conditioners (AC) for its customers in north and north-west Delhi. Under the scheme, TPDDL customers may exchange their non-star ACs for BEE 5 star rated ACs or inverter ACs and avail a discount of up to 50% on MRP for various models of ACs from leading brands like Voltas, Hitachi and Godrej.
Besides providing discount on the market price, the scheme would also help consumers save up to Rs 5,500 on their electricity bills annually depending upon their usage, thereby offering them twin advantages. The scheme will be valid for 20,000 domestic customers on the first-come-first-serve basis.
However, the scheme is applicable for customers having an average monthly consumption of up to 1,200 units per month during summer period from April to September 2014. TPDDL consumers can avail the scheme against their CA numbers (one AC per CA number) mentioned in their electricity bill.
