Kajaria Ceramics surges on plan to acquire 51% stake in Floera Ceramics

Kajaria Ceramics is currently trading at Rs. 782.25, up by 7.50 points or 0.97% from its previous closing of Rs. 774.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 790.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 790.00 and Rs. 775.00 respectively. So far 4170 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 861.45 on 02-Jun-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 525.55 on 27-Oct-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 793.00 and Rs. 748.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6214.48 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.54% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 28.42% and 22.03% respectively.

Kajaria Ceramics has received an approval to acquire 51% stake in Floera Ceramics, Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh) by subscribing to the equity shares of the Company. Floera Ceramics Plans to put up a manufacturing facility of Polished Vitrified tiles with a capacity of 5.70 MSM per annum in Andhra Pradesh. The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on July 20, 2015, has approved for the same.

Kajaria Ceramics is the largest manufacturer of ceramic/vitrified tiles in India. It has an annual aggregate capacity of 54.10 mn. sq. meters, distributed across seven plants-Sikandrabad in Uttar Pradesh, Gailpur in Rajasthan, four plants in Morbi in Gujarat and one at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.
