Gail declines on reporting 32% fall in Q1 net profit

GAIL (India) is currently trading at Rs. 361.40, down by 8.30 points or 2.25% from its previous closing of Rs 369.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 358.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 364.00 and Rs. 357.40 respectively. So far 118580 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 551.35 on 31-Oct-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 354.00 on 28-Apr-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 376.00 and Rs. 357.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 45665.19 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.11% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.39% and 2.21% respectively.

Gail (India) has reported a fall of 31.75% in its net profit at Rs 424.14 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 621.44 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has decreased by 6.65% to Rs 12643.86 crore for the quarter under review, from Rs 13544.66 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

GAIL is India’s flagship natural gas company integrating all aspects of the natural gas value chain including exploration and production, processing, transmission, distribution and marketing and related services.
