MRF gains on reporting 94% rise in Q3 net profit

MRF is currently trading at Rs 39020.00, up by 492.15 points or 1.28% from its previous closing of Rs 38527.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 38600.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 40100.00 and Rs. 38000.10 respectively. So far 10430 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 42799.00 on 17-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs 23000.00 on 01-Aug-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 39199.00 and Rs. 36007.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16535.37 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 27.34% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.49% and 54.17% respectively.

MRF has reported a rise of 94.08% in its net profit at Rs 446.81 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 230.22 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 6.38% to Rs 3571.06 crore for the quarter under review, from Rs 3357.03  crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year

MRF is India’s No.1 tyre manufacturing company with a turnover of Rs 14,000 crore. Currently, the company exports tyres to over 80 countries including America, Europe, Middle East, Japan, and the Pacific region. The overseas market contributes to 10-12% of the company's turnover at present.
