Allahabad Bank reports 30% rise in Q1 net profit

Allahabad Bank has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2015.

The bank has reported 30.29% rise in its net profit at Rs 146.86 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 112.72 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank has decreased by 2.20% at Rs 5396.44 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 5518.00 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014.

The bank’s gross NPA for the April-June quarter of the current fiscal improved to 5.29% as compared to 5.48% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, bank’s Net NPA stood at 3.67% in Q1FY16.
