Hero MotoCorp moves up despite reporting 8% fall in July sales

Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs. 2677.80, up by 3.35 points or 0.13% from its previous closing of Rs. 2674.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2655.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2690.00 and Rs. 2604.15 respectively. So far 48014 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3271.80 on 01-Dec-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2252.00 on 08-May-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2738.00 and Rs. 2505.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 53516.25 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.64% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 51.89% and 13.47% respectively.

Hero MotoCorp (HMCL), the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, clocked 487,580 units of two-wheelers in despatch sales in the month of July 2015, down by 8% compared to 529,862 units sold in the corresponding month last year. The retail sales of the company continue to be better than despatches.

The company has recently introduced two new motorcycles - the 150cc Xtreme Sports and 100cc Passion PRO, both of which have received very positive response from customers across the country.

Further, the company is also gearing up to launch more new products in the months leading up to the festive season.
