Hero MotoCorp strengthens on reporting 33% rise in Q1 net profit

Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs 2765.75, up by 67.90 points or 2.52% from its previous closing of Rs 2697.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 2785.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 2800.00 and Rs 2744.40 respectively. So far 29980 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3271.80 on 01-Dec-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2252.00 on 08-May-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2717.00 and Rs. 2505.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 55253.53 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.64%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 51.89% and 13.47% respectively.

Hero MotoCorp has reported 33.33% rise in its net profit at Rs 750.34 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 562.76 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the company’s total income has decreased by 1.29% to Rs 7057.18 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 7149.59 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Hero MotoCorp is the World’s single largest two-wheeler motorcycle company. Honda Motor Company of Japan and the Hero Group entered a joint venture to setup Hero Honda Motors in 1984. Hero Honda Motors changed its name to Hero MotoCorp following the exit of its erstwhile Japanese promoter, Honda, from the company.
