Bajaj Auto reports 3% rise in July sales

Bajaj Auto, the second-largest motorcycle manufacturer has registered rise of 3% in total sales to 330,231 units in July 2015 against 319,292 units in July 2014. The sales of the motorcycles increased by 5% and stood at 282,433 units in the month under review against 267,841 units in July 2014. However, the company has reported 7% fall in Commercial Vehicles sales, which stood at 47,798 units as compared to 51,451 units in month of July 2014. The company’s total exports out of the above stood at 164,690 units, a drop of 3% as compared to 169,755 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
