M&M reports jump of 29% in June sales to 35,584 units

Auto-maker Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) reported a jump of 29.11% in its June sales to 35,584 units compared with 27,562 units in the year ago-period. Domestic sales of the company increased 28.69% to 33,772 units in June as against 26,243 units in the same month last year.

The company’s three-wheeler and mini-trucks - Gio and Maxximo sales surged 7.03% in June to 5,149 as against 4,811 units in the year-ago period. Its four-wheel pick-up and commercial passenger segment has grown by 65.02% to 11,560 units in June as against 7,005 units in the same month last year.

The exports of the company surged by 37.38% to 1,812 vehicles during the month as compared to 1,319 units dispatched to the overseas markets same month last year.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s net profit after tax for the fourth quarter has rose by 6.36% at Rs 606.54 crore as compared to Rs 570.26 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its total income has jumped by 28.23% at Rs 6825.57 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 5322.75 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.
