UCO Bank dips on reporting 51% fall in Q1 net profit

UCO Bank is currently trading at Rs 53.20, down by 1.30 points or 2.39% from its previous closing of Rs. 54.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 53.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 53.60 and Rs. 52.15 respectively. So far 305934 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 102.60 on 25-Aug-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 48.40 on 29-Jul-2015.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 55.95 and Rs. 52.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5743.66 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.83% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.27% and 8.90% respectively.

UCO Bank reported 50.77% fall in its net profit at Rs 256.7 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 521.4 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has decreased by 4.19% at Rs 5169.09 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 5395.17 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014.

The bank’s gross NPA for the April-June quarter of the current fiscal increased to 7.30%, as compared to 4.31% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, bank’s Net NPA stood at 4.53% in Q1FY16.
