Hotel Leelaventure is in the process of undertaking certain expansion and refurbishment activities in its hotel ‘The Leela’ situated in Goa. On completion of this expansion and refurbishment exercise, the company expects to have a total of 206 rooms in the hotel.
100 rooms out of 186 rooms in the hotel are currently not operational and the company also expects to add 20 additional rooms to the hotel, which are the part of expansion and refurbishment exercise. The expansion and refurbishment exercise will be completed in the third quarter of financial year 2011-2012.
The company has registered a fall of 7.75% in its net profit for FY11 at Rs 37.84 crore as compared to Rs 41.02 crore for the previous year. Its net sales/income from operation has increased by 17.06% at Rs 525.82 crore for the year from Rs 449.18 crore in previous year.
On consolidated basis, the group’s net profit for the year has declined 7.85% at Rs 37.82 crore as compared to Rs 41.04 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010. Net sales/income from operation for the year has increased by 17.06% at 525.82 crore as compared to Rs 449.18 crore for the previous year.
Hotel Leelaventure operates hotels and resorts in India. It also operates spas; and offers facilities for meetings and events, weddings, and social celebrations. The company’s portfolio includes luxury hotels and resorts primarily in Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa, Kovalam, Gurgaon, and Udaipur.
