Eicher Motors spurts as its motorcycle division opens direct distribution subsidiary in North America

Eicher Motors is currently trading at Rs 20896.80, up by 225.60 points or 1.09% from its previous closing of Rs. 20671.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 20850.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 21037.50 and Rs. 20810.05 respectively. So far 1253 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 21618.30 on 21-Jul-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 9706.00 on 28-Aug-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 20749.40 and Rs. 19737.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 56643.71 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.91 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.11 % and 12.99 % respectively.

Eicher Motors’ motorcycle division Royal Enfield has opened its first direct distribution subsidiary outside India, in North America. The subsidiary will directly sell to dealers and even to customers as well as directly conduct all market development and support activities such as marketing, service, after sales etc for the Royal Enfield brand in North America.

This strategic announcement is in line with Royal Enfield’s focussed international thrust of leading and expanding the global mid-sized motorcycle segment (250-750cc), with North America representing a priority market for the company.
