Kamdhenu Ispat is planning to invest up to Rs 50 crore for increasing steel making capacity of its Rajasthan plant to 72,000 tonnes from 60,000 tonnes. The steel bar producer, which has manufacturing plant in Bhiwadi district, expects to make the investment by the end of this financial year. The installed steel capacity of the company's franchise units is around 20 lakh tonnes, which the company has targeted to increase to 24 lakh tonnes by the end of 2015-16 fiscal.
Kamdhenu Ispat, which is mainly into manufacturing of TMT bars and structural steels for use in the construction sector, had forayed into the paints business in 2008 by setting up a plant near its steel mill at Bhiwadi in Rajasthan.
