Bajaj Auto reports 16% jump in June sales

Bajaj Auto has reported a growth of 16% in its June sales which is the highest ever sales witnessed in the month of June for the company. The company has sold total of 366,657 units in June 2011 as compared to 315,422 units in June 2010. The cumulative sales of the company for the period April-June 2011 thus stood at 10,92,815 units compared to 928,336 units for the period April to June 2010 up by 18%.

Motorcycles sales have increased by 14% during the June 2011 month under review to 322,827 units from 282,808 units for the year ago period. While, year till date sales of motorcycles for April-June 2011 period stood at 936,051 compared to 828,391 for the period April- June 2010, showing growth of 16%.

Commercial vehicles sales have increased by 34% during the June 2011 month under review to 43,830 units from 32,614 units for the year ago period. While, year till date sales of commercial vehicles for April-June 2011 period stood at 129,764 compared to 99,918 for the period April-June 2010, showing growth of 30%.

Out of the total sales, export has increased by 25% during the June 2011 month under review to 142,124 units from 114,024 units for the year ago period. While, year till date exports for April-June 2011 period stood at 427,364 compared to 323,899 for the period April-June 2010, showing growth of 32%.
