BGR Energy Systems has emerged as the lowest bidder for the NTPC 11 x 660 MW Super-critical Boiler tender. The tender was for the supply of 660 MW Super-critical Boiler for five projects. As per tender conditions of NTPC, BGR Energy would be awarded contract for 7 Boilers, aggregating to the value of about Rs 6,500 crore.
The company has emerged lowest bidder for five projects, with the first being Mouda Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II (2 x 660 MW); followed by Solapur Super Thermal Power Project (2 x 660 MW); Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project (3 x 660 MW); Meja Thermal Power Project (2 x 660 MW) and lastly, the Raghunathpur Thermal Power Project, Phase-II (2 x 660 MW).
BGR Energy Systems (BGRESL) is engaged in supplying of systems and equipment and contracting turnkey engineering project. The company started as a joint venture between GEA Energietechnik GmbH, Germany and the promoter B G Raghupathy in order to produce and sell on-line condenser tube cleaning systems, debris filters and rubber cleaning balls used in thermal and nuclear power plants.
