Competition Commission of India (CCI) has dismissed charges of anti-competitive practices against DLF in one of its project in the national capital region (NCR). CCI order pertains to a residential project called DLF Capital Greens, Phase III, in the NCR region. The fair trade regulator has rejected the allegations after learning that prima-facie there was no violation of competition norms especially since the company is not in a dominant position in the pertinent market.
DLF's primary business is development of residential, commercial and retail properties. The company has a unique business model with earnings arising from development and rentals. Its exposure across businesses, segments and geographies, mitigates any down-cycles in the market. From developing 22 major colonies in Delhi, DLF is now present across 15 states-24 cities in India.
