The Exchange had sought clarification from IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company with respect to news appearing in Financial Chronicle on August 28, 2015 titled ‘IL&FS to exit BOT projects, eyes 30% turnover growth.’ IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company replied stating that as per the Company’s philosophy of sustained corporate growth and long-term benefits for stakeholders, strives to enhance stakeholders value through various means. This may include reduction of debt through various options including, if necessary, by sale of some of its investments. They wish to reiterate that this is a continuous exercise and, as and when any such transaction materializes, they shall make appropriate announcement through the Stock Exchanges in the terms of Clause 36 of the Listing Agreement.
