Steel Strips Wheels (SSWL) has reported 4% fall in its total wheel rim sales to 11.14 lakh as compared to 11.59 lakh in August 2014. In terms of Value, the company has achieved gross turnover of Rs 119.44 crore in August 2015 as compared to Rs 116.04 crore in August 2014, recorded a growth of 2.93% and achieved a Net turnover of Rs 107.63 crore in August 2015 as against Rs 105.12 crore in August 2014, recorded a growth of 2.39%.
In segmental growth, the company’s Passenger car segment grew by 7% in August 2015 year on year (YoY), while the company’s LCV & MHCV segment volumes grew by 38% YoY in August 2015. The company’s domestic Tractor segment volumes grow slightly by 0.4% in August 2015 YoY. Meanwhile, the company’s export dropped 14% on the back of seasonal adjustment towards factory maintenance of European customers.
SSWL is a part of the Steel Strips Group, headquartered in Chandigarh. It is engaged in the manufacturing of single piece steel wheel rims in the range of 10 to 30 inches for scooters, passenger cars, utility vehicles and tractors. It supplies rims to almost all major manufacturers of two wheelers, three wheelers, four wheelers, tractors and heavy commercial vehicle.
