Amara Raja to commission tubular battery plant in Andhra by December 2015

Amara Raja Batteries is planning to commission the tubular battery plant at Nunegundlapalli in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh (AP) by December 2015.

Earlier in March 2015, the company had commissioned a Four-Wheeler battery plant at the same location and the full impact of volumes from this plant would be seen in the current financial year. The four-wheeler automotive battery plant will help in enhancing the company market share and in the flat plate inverter batteries which are seen to be growing in the market place.

Amara Raja Batteries is engaged in manufacturing of industrial and automotive batteries. It was founded in 1985. ARBL was first to introduce Valve Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries with three-year warranty in industrial and automotive applications.
