Two-wheeler maker, TVS Motor Company has reported a fall of 3% in its February sales. The company has sold a total of 172,061 units in February 2012 as compared to 177,412 units in February 2011. The cumulative sales of the company for the period April-February 2012 stood at 2,015,615 units, up by 9%.
Two wheeler sales have decreased by 2.43% during the month under review to 168,996 units from 173,200 units for the year ago period. While, three wheeler sales stood at 3,065 units in February 2012 from 4,212 units in February 2011, registering a fall of 27%.
Scooters recorded sales of 36,693 units compared to 40,335 units in February 2011. Motorcycles registered sales of 63,019 units in February 2012 against 71,462 units in February 2011. Domestic two wheeler sales of the company grew marginally to 152,796 units in February 2012 from 151,526 units reported in February 2011.
Exports registered total sales of 17,960 units in February 2012 against 24,036 units in the same month of the previous year.
