The country’s largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp has reported a 10.89% rise in its sales for February at 523,465 units. The company had sold 472,055 units in February 2011.
The company has been consistently clocking over five lakh units in sales, and its performance in the first two months - January and February - has maintained that trend in both despatch and retail sales.
The company’s net profit for the third quarter ended December, 2011 increased by 43% at Rs 613 crore against Rs 429 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Total income increased 17% to Rs 6,108 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 5,224 crore for the same quarter a year ago.
