Public sector lender, Andhra Bank has opened its new branch at Jakranpally in Telangana, taking the total number of bank branches to 2,588 across the country. The bank is planning to open four new branches in Telangana Circle. The new branches will come up at Rameswarpally of Biknoor mandal, Dubba in Nizamabad, Srinivaspuram in Ramchandrapuram mandal, and Jakrapur in China Kodur mandal of Medak district.
Andhra Bank has reported 89.27% rise in its net profit at Rs 202.52 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 107.00 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 7.71% at Rs 4529.23 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 4205.06 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2014.
